Lake District

All year round when visiting the Lake District, be sure to take a waterproof coat or a brolly as at some point it is bound to rain. That’s my travel tip, which is handy when visiting or travelling to anywhere in the UK. Even when visiting London, one of the driest places in the UK, take some form of waterproof or a jumper as it’s best to be prepared if you’re caught out by a bit of the ol’ Duke of Spain (cockney rhyming slang for ‘rain’).

In fact, according to the Telegraph, Cumbria has 3 places in the ‘Top 10 wettest places in the UK’ list which is even more reason to have a pac a mac to hand when visiting the Lake District.

Here are some pictures from my Lake District adventure (incidentally rain-free):

  1. I’m glad you managed to get some rain-free photos – not always easy in the Lake District! I particularly like the first and third shots. Thanks for following my blog, I’m now following you back and looking forward to seeing more of your photos 🙂
